AJL was so fortunate to partner with Aariyah Johnson via the inaugural GIV Fellowship in 2021! The GIV Fellowship places young adults (18-24) across Colorado in a remote fellowship with grant-making foundations. The program is designed for individuals from underrepresented communities in the philanthropic sector to 1) gain experience in the field, and 2) provide community & youth insight into foundation operations.

Aariyah brought so much to AJL's work - youth voice and perspective, a spirit of learning and a commitment to the communities we serve. For her capstone project, Aariyah asks the hard questions in her letter to philanthropy and explores impact in her final impact video.
