Social Justice Grants
AJL Foundation stands by the Black community in the fight against racism. We honor and mourn the unfathomably tragic loss of countless lives in Black, Indigenous and communities of color to centuries of racism and injustice. This is America's history. This is America's present. We are doing our part to make sure it's not America's future. Please read AJL's commitment to fighting injustice here.
Consolation Grants and Workshop Grants
AJL provides a $500 grant to nonprofit organizations that were nominated but not ultimately selected by the grantmaking committee to compensate for the time and resources that went into the application process. AJL also conducts a Participatory Grantmaking Workshop in which participants select an organization to issue a $1000 grant to.
Gratitude Grants
AJL is made up of a team of people who generously give their time, expertise and hearts to our mission. In return, each Director receives a $2500 grant to direct to a nonprofit organization that is meaningful to them.
