Gratitude Grants
AJL is made up of a team of people who generously give their time, expertise and hearts to our mission. In return, each Director receives a $2500 grant to direct to a nonprofit organization that is meaningful to them.
Lawton Family Grants
AJL grantmaking includes funds directed by the founding family.
Discretionary, Workshop, and Loan Conversion Grants
A limited number of discretionary grants were awarded for emergent efforts related to loss of funding from the federal government and cuts in state of Colorado funding. AJL also conducts a Participatory Grantmaking Workshop in which participants select an organization to issue a $1000 grant to. This section also includes a loan that converted to a grant.
